Wiggle Super Series Mega Meon Sportive (Road) - Fun: The stunning Meon Valley with its green country side and quiet lanes provides the back drop for the Mega Meon sportive. The Meon Valley during the summer months is one of the finest examples of English patchwork countryside. The route weaves its way through quiet roads with vibrant multicoloured crop fields. From the start in Waterlooville, the route takes you on a short loop into the Hartings of West Sussex before heading back into the Meon Valley and north into Hampshire. Just west of Alton the route takes you on a short tour of the prestigious Candover triangle, with Preston Candover famous for being the country seat of Lord Sainsbury's. The sportive takes on some of the best climbs in the area, including Butser Hill with its far reaching views of the Isle of Wight. At the summit of the final climb you will be rewarded with views of the Solent, the vibrant city of Portsmouth and the majestic Spinnaker Tower! With 3 route options (95 miles, 72 miles and 55 miles), you choose the amount of fun you can handle. Difficulty Rating (5 being the highest). New for 2012 - Early Booking Reward.
